Abstract
This study discusses the case of a lawsuit filed by the Head of Bakalanrayung Village against the Head of Roworayung Hamlet related to absenteeism and negligence of duty. The Head of Roworayung Hamlet did not carry out his obligations for 60 consecutive days without a clear and unaccountable reason. This lawsuit refers to Article 24 paragraph (1) letter 1 of the Jombang Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2016 concerning Village Heads, which regulates prohibitions for village officials. On this basis, the Head of Bakalanrayung Village filed a lawsuit against the Head of Roworayung Hamlet to demand responsibility for the negligence. This study aims to analyze the legal basis and implications of this case in the context of applicable local regulations.
